Friends Of Mine

Okay, I've griped enough before, but not today. Today I'm gonna talk about the girls of Lavender, otherwise known as my friends.

JEB AHN is the vice president of Lavender Corporation and has been in sl almost as long as I have. More importantly, she is my best friend. I didn't really have any friends in sl until I met Jeb and now I can't imagine sl without her. When we met, we had both been through recent breakups and were in our manhater stage. Well, we still are..hehe. We had some awesome times together and even got tossed from a few clubs. eccch. Jeb is my sound board and my voice of reason. Whenever I throw an idea at her, she's the one who breaks it down and puts it in common sense terms. Sometimes she says she feels like she doesn't contribute, but without her, I wouldn't be doing what I am today. She's the one who convinces me to carry through with ideas and she also started the "A Fashion Statement" group which now has over 275 members. She is a wonderful woman and if you ever get the opportunity to meet her, you'll know why.

TRELLA MCMAHON is the vice president for marketing and public relations with Lavender. Trella is an amazing woman. She has helped me enormously and if I mention something to her, she runs with it. She has put together some great ideas for both A Fashion Statement and Gia's and I'd be lost without her. I don't know many southern women, but if they are all like Trella, I think I should move there. She's an artist and pet counseler and owns Native Passions. If you're an art lover, check it out. Trella came to me as an employee (best decision i've made) but has now transformed into a friend.

KATIME VACANO is the executive assistant at Lavender Corporation. Katime is the one who sends you the daily notices and also sends out invites to join the A Fashion Statement group. Aside from her regular duties, she also ran the swimsuit fashion show we had last August. Katime is an ocean apart from us, but her presense here is always felt. Sometimes we don't see her for a while as her job here keeps her away from us, but she's always with us in spirit and a friends spirit is a wonderful thing.

TRACY SERRA came to us a the Wednesday night host at Gia's Fashion Cabaret. She's a wonderful person, and usually stays with us at Gia's long after the crowd has subsided. She's kept busy with her kids in rl, driving them to plays and wherever else they need to go, but she always makes it to Gia's and makes it the liviliest place in sl. I thought I knew everything (?), but Tracy managed to show me a few things. She would always greet people at the club even though the rest of us couldn't see them. Now I know how she does it. Tracy is a perfect blend with the staff here, and even though we can get carried away, she is always there to acknowledge and support us.

KYLA QUINNELL is one of the Covergirls at Gia's. I first met her when Trella brought her to my office cause Kyla couldn't stand up. It was so funny. We tried and tried to get her to stand up but to no avail. She's come a long way since then. Kyla is wonderful and supportive and a perfect mix with the rest of us. I sometimes think we might be going a bit to far, but Kyla doesn't seem to mind and joins in with the rest of us. Kyla dances at Gia's every Wednesday, so drop by and say hi. She'll be sure to have a few good words for you.

WILDANGEL PAINE is our newest addition to Lavender Corp. Recently married in rl, she brings a lively, spontaneous attitude to the club. She stays well after her shift with the rest of us and we can't love her enough.

Well that's our current staff, and since we have openings at Gia's Fashion Cabaret for managers and cover girls and at A Fashion Statement for sales associates, our little family is likely to grow. This is a great group of women, strong willed, independant and the best friends I could possibly have.

This Wednesday at Gia's is Caribbean Reggae Vibrations Night! Come dressed for the Islands and the Best Dressed Reggae Contest! Performing live is Naphtali Hawks and the fun starts at 6PM sharp.

Wednesday February 6 is Mardi Gras Night, the hottest themed carnival night in sl with three of sl's finest live singers back to back, featuring; Kelvinblue Oh , Zed Essex and BubbaC John.

Wednesday, February 13 is the Blue Hawaiian Sweethearts Ball with an Elvis & BubbaC Tribute! Celebrate with us Elvis, BubbaC, Blue Hawaii, Valentine's Day, your sweetheart and Love!
