Well it has been crazy here on Lavender Isle. My to do list has grown to three pages and it’s getting tough to calm it down. LMAO. It’s my fault, because I just keep adding new things and then that adds to the work load. Plans are to hire an administrative assistant to take away some of the tasks that Trella and I have to do. I should be down to spending time creating only, but I know that will never happen. At least I can free up some time.
Well the new stuff is kinda old kinda new. I resurrected Prefab Chic, the prefab building store. It’s located on Erinn Cove near the LIRT and has a tp up to a rezzing platform where you can rez all the buildings. I pulled out a few of the older buildings from my inventory and added some of the newer ones I’ve made since coming to the isle. I still have quite a few in inventory and I’m pulling them out one by one to see if they are of quality and where I want them on display. It should take a few more days to get that part straightened out. But in the meantime, the store is open and there are about 9 buildings to view. All at reasonable prices I might add. Also new is the LIFD (Lavender Isle Fire Department). I know, why do we need a fire department (police department, clinic); it’s my touch of realism that I can’t seem to lose. I like to have the services that you would have in rl displayed in sl even if they aren’t really functional. It adds to the experience for me and I hope it does others as well.
WildAngel Paine has left Gia’s as a covergirl to pursue other interests. She’s djing a lot and landed a job at a club that pays her quite well, so I don’t blame her. Good luck Angel. That leaves us with Tracy as host and Mutley and Tee as covergirls. We need a couple more covergirls and maybe a backup host so if you’re interested, sent Trella or me a note. We’ll advertise it soon as well.
I’m getting excited about the fashion show on July 18 (not that far away now). Gypsy Wave is now going to use 12 models in the show and we are getting some press on it. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be an amazing event and I’m itching to see it and get started on organizing the next one (slow down huh). When the show is done, I’m removing the runway builds as I’ve been working on a fashion center to use for shows. I just need to find room for it..hehe. I won’t say much about it except that it’s totally awesome and I’m naming it after my sister. “Janine Memorial Fashion Center”.
We’ve been picking up in all areas of business around the isle including renters. We now have three residential renters, two commercial at the marina and two in the shopping district. Still space left and I’m optimistic. Sales at the stores has increased since the slowdown that resulted from the move and it looks like we are back to normal again.
Gia’s is still a little down in the traffic department. We’ve had some amazing shows including Allister Westland who was fantastic this past Wednesday. This week it’s KevinMThomas Carpool who I hear will simply knock your socks off. I hope the slowdown at Gia’s was because of SL’s birthday party that lasted forever. Let’s hope the crowd picks up this week.
Okay, I got lots to do so I better keep this short. Always new things happening at Lavender Isle and I have plans for many new ventures.
Ciao for now
