Instead of the one page blog with everything crammed into that page, there are now ten pages and possibly more to come. I set up a separate page for each business with more information on that business located on their page. Each page contains a short description of the business, a link to its location inworld, some pictures and in the case of retail, a few featured items. There’s also a staff page with their photos and bios.
The main page contains the blog postings. Here I’ll still do the same with my rants and raves, but if you notice to the left, all that’s there is links to the other pages. Click those and you’re taken to a page on that particular business.
I like this format because it gives me a few more options. First I can put a little more information on each page and what I really like is that I can feature a few items that are for sale. Check AFS Flexiwear and So Intimate and you’ll see what I mean. It also leaves me more room to add a few other things down the road. Got an idea for what else should be on the pages? Please let me know.
It’s been very busy around Lavender Isle lately. A couple residential tenants moved in, taking space on the south side. Plans for the fashion show are well underway. Gypsy Wave is handling the models and organization while Pulse Point Marketing is handling the promotion with press releases. They also designed a new poster for me. It’s on the blog now and I’m pretty impressed with it. The outfits are done, I’ve put together a couple gift bags, created a program and guest book and have been adding finishing touches to the catwalk and reception area. Can’t wait for the 18th.
I’ve sold two of my mainland parcels, but still have quite a few left. I split the Slipp land into four – 4096sqm lots and Wrasse has a 6144sqm and a 1024sqm.
This week at Gia’s is the fabulous Evamoon Ember. She was so awesome that last time she played here. We’ve booked acts through July and will start booking August very soon.
I’m still looking for a reporter for Thump Magazine. I’m a little pressed for time and have a little trouble keeping up with reviews, but so far I’m managing. I’d also like to interview a performer, but that’ll wait till I have more time.
AFS Flexiwear and So Intimate have a few new outfits up. One thing I keep managing to do is design clothing. I seem to be more than up to date with enough items in inventory to last a while. I’ll try releasing a couple items each week for the time being, at least until the fashion show when all 24 items from the show will be released.
Trella has opened two stores in the shopping district. Native Passions sells native art and collectibles while Juanita’s Cassa de Shoes carries you guessed it, shoes, as well as an assortment of hair.
Well that’s it for this week. Hope to see you at Gia’s or hanging around Lavender Isle. I know I will.
Ciao for now
Jenny
