Ramblings After Upgrade Day

Well this past week was a nightmare. The required viewer upgrade was a complete wash. Not only is everything dramatically worse, but the whole world of second life came crashing down on Friday. It took the lindens until late Saturday to get it up and running again. I really don't understand what they are doing. Six months ago, eight months ago, things were running fine. I had no problems and could manoeuvre quite easily. But with every viewer upgrade, the second life experience gets worse. And with every upgrade, I get closer to quitting second life. I'm so close this time.

With the latest upgrade, I lost a good portion of my inventory, paid for things and didn't receive them, am in a constant world of greyness and oh yes, I crash. I seldom crashed before. Sure every now and then especially if I was logged on for an extended period, but nothing too awful. Now I crash immediately upon logging on and can be guaranteed to crash a few more times. It also takes forever to rez items, and the quality of the surrounding scenery and objects is unusually poor. When will the Lindens get it right. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Enough about them. The new building for A Fashion Statement and So Intimate is up and I'm quite proud of it. A whole new line of flexi clothing too. I even put up an announcer that shows your picture when you enter the mall (at Gia's too). Drop by and check it out.

Last weeks EvaMoon Ember show at Gia's was simply amazing. She's a great entertainer. This week is a special two hour event with Frogg Marlowe and Jaycatt Nico. It's also a princess theme night so grab your favorite princess gown and drop. Should be lots happening there.

It's gonna be a busy time in real life for me. I have two exams coming up on the 14th and 17th of April (wish me luck) and then I'm off to The Big Easy for round two of my interviews. I'm so stoked.

I'm keeping it short this week cause I really do have a lot to do and probably will cut down my second life time for a bit. Good thing Trella and the girls are there.

Ciao for now

Jenny
